The Human Mind

It's drizzling by the sidewalk
The chills wrapped up between my toes
Hear the breeze stutter across
The mind changes like the weather

Steady lights, appearing to emanate
No wonder the lonely stars,
Only by night, reflecting on themselves
The effulgent source of energy
Just when you think that hope is all you need
And love is the air you breathe
The mind changes like the weather

Under the rain clouds, beneath the shelter
It is only safe
When the heart and head is in synch

Stroll along the sidewalk, uphill
Across the field, over deep puddles
Watching over these careful steps

The wretched rock,
The dampened sod,
The birds upon their return,
The fallen leaves,
The limbs and twigs,
The various species inhabiting below the soil,
Every heartbeat fencing around me
It is not always lonely to be alone

" Make Your way plain for me to see "
Psalm 5

I know so...
Because my mind changes like the weather
